2007! Here we go and what a start!

Awakened this morning to a simply awesome start of the new year! Nothing but blue skies and incredible temps for this time of the year. I too, am growing tired of these almost daily stories about how crazy this winter has been so far.

Somehow, the ability to go get a coffee at 10 AM in nothing but a shirt, slacks and sunglasses makes me giddy with the new year.

UW won down in Florida by 3 points, so that was another good thing about the start of 2007. It was an ugly encounter with Arkansas, but it's the final score that counts.

My first run of the year was a 40 minute loop in the neighborhood with lots of hills. Temps in the mid 30's as I headed off and there was still some sunshine in the skies. The days are getting longer and it was still bright as I made my way up the Schumann Drive hill at 4:30 PM. The pix to the right was taken earlier in the day but clearly shows how great the 1st day of 2007 was.
It will be interesting to see how the rest of this winter goes.

Trips to Colorado, New York, Texas, Boston and elsewhere are already on the schedule, but somehow it will be hard to beat today for what it was!

Trek welcomes the US sales team to Waterloo later this week and I have things working with Paragon Sports in NYC that will hopefully POP this week. Other potentials in the mix but somehow things look very very good right now!

Oh, before we get too far in to the new year, here is a pic of the cat trying to figure out how to get out of the fireplace...it was soooo easy to get in, but somehow seems harder to find one's way out! This beast acts just like a puppy. Pretty amazing animal!
